I’m someone who loves working with my hands. It’s my hands where everything starts. Other people say it’s the idea, but for me it’s my hands. At first, it was as a boy crazy about sports in New Zealand, later it was channeled into Fine Arts. I discovered through my work in Fine Arts that I was really more interested in bringing design to people.
So now, my hands are involved with designing experiences. This process for me involves strategic problem solving, not only in the paper, sketching, but also in the model shop covered with dust. I have had the opportunity to do internships with two very diverse companies. One a fast paced environment that focus on strategic process from research all the way to concept finalization. The other, a celebrity design firm, who was not afraid of pushing boundaries in wearable technology. Immersing myself, being hands-on in the process allows me to stay authentic and to make difference.
